As an established professional joining the Balkan eCommerce Summit 2025 as a Brand Ambassador, what strategic opportunities influenced your decision, and how do you see this collaboration benefiting both your expertise and the broader summit ecosystem?
As a seasoned professional with over 15 years in digital marketing, my decision to join the Balkan eCommerce Summit 2025 as a Brand Ambassador was driven by strategic opportunities that align with my commitment to advancing the digital landscape in the region.
The summit’s emphasis on fostering cross-border e-commerce resonates with my role as Chair of the People and Culture pillar at the CEE Digital Alliance, a network of 16 leading digital marketing agencies across Central and Eastern Europe. This collaboration provides a platform to share insights from my extensive experience and to highlight the contributions of WebDigital, my own Romanian agency, as well as other alliance members. Their local expertise and innovative strategies have significantly advanced digital marketing standards in Bulgaria, the Balkans, and the broader CEE region.
With over 15 years of experience in digital marketing and having assisted more than 500 businesses in revenue growth, what initially drew you to this field, and how has your approach evolved over the years?
My journey into digital marketing began with a fascination for the intersection of technology and consumer behavior. Over the years, my approach has evolved to emphasize data-driven strategies and a deep understanding of user psychology, enabling businesses to connect more effectively with their audiences.
As the founding partner of WebDigital, Romania’s first specialized PPC marketing agency, what challenges did you face during its inception, and how did you overcome them?
Founding WebDigital, Romania’s first specialized PPC marketing agency, presented challenges such as market skepticism and the need to educate clients on the value of pay-per-click advertising. We overcome these obstacles through persistent client education and delivering measurable results that demonstrate the effectiveness of our strategies.
With degrees in Sociology and Psychology, how have these disciplines influenced your approach to digital marketing and entrepreneurship?
My academic background in Sociology and Psychology has profoundly influenced my approach to digital marketing and entrepreneurship. Understanding social dynamics and individual behaviors has been instrumental in crafting campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences and build cohesive, motivated teams.
Given your extensive experience in the Romanian market, how do you perceive the current state of e-commerce entrepreneurship in the Balkans compared to Western Europe?
When comparing e-commerce entrepreneurship in the Balkans to Western Europe, it’s evident that while the Balkans are rapidly advancing, challenges such as logistics and digital infrastructure persist. However, the region’s growth trajectory is promising, with increasing internet penetration and consumer trust in online shopping platforms. In other words, it is like a rocket shooting for the stars, with a few setbacks in making it land back safely!
What key lessons have you learned throughout your career that you would impart to aspiring entrepreneurs in the digital marketing and e-commerce sectors?
Throughout my career, I’ve learned that adaptability and continuous learning are crucial. For aspiring digital marketing and e-commerce entrepreneurs, I advise focusing on understanding your audience deeply, staying abreast of technological advancements, and building resilient, adaptable business models to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape.
