Selena 

The Selena Association of Women Entrepreneurs unites women from across Bulgaria who are turning their dreams of independent business into reality, transforming the face of entrepreneurship in the country.

Founded in 2007, Selena is the first organization in Bulgaria established by and for women entrepreneurs with the goal of building a supportive and empowering community. The association was founded by Ms. Elda Lettieri, an experienced entrepreneur who brought her rich expertise from Italy to help lay the foundation for a new generation of female-led businesses in Bulgaria.

Over the years, Selena has led an ambitious program to promote women’s entrepreneurship nationally and internationally. The organization successfully organized the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd International Congress on Women’s Entrepreneurship, bringing together speakers and participants from more than 10 countries.

Selena has participated in 7 international projects in collaboration with partners from Spain, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Turkey, Romania, the United Kingdom, and others. Representatives of the association have presented and contributed to scientific and business conferences in countries such as Serbia, the UK, and Japan.

The organization is also an official partner for Bulgaria of International Women’s Entrepreneur Day, celebrated globally in the week following November 19, and actively collaborates with global networks such as International Women Connected and the European Women Association – a platform uniting organizations dedicated to advancing women’s entrepreneurship across Europe.

Today, Selena continues to empower, connect, and support Bulgarian women entrepreneurs, offering opportunities for growth, knowledge sharing, international collaboration, and advocacy – and shaping the future of business with the power of women’s leadership.
