Betizhe Akova

I am Betizhe Akova (贝甜), a Bulgarian undergraduate student at Tsinghua University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, and Finance.

Beyond my studies, I am the Founder and CEO of RedPanda Language Center, an initiative I created to teach Chinese language to Bulgarian students and adults. My goal is to bridge the cultural and linguistic gap between Bulgaria and China, helping fellow Bulgarians access opportunities in one of the world’s largest economies.

I am deeply passionate about connecting Eastern and Western markets, with a particular interest in eCommerce and international trade. My academic background in finance, combined with my entrepreneurial experience, drives my vision of facilitating cross-border digital commerce between Europe and China.

I currently serve as the Official Representative of Bulgarian students in China at the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Beijing and am a Tsinghua Global Communication Ambassador. I am fluent in Bulgarian, English and Chinese. My achievements include First Prize at the “Chinese Bridge” Competition in Bulgaria (2019, 2023) and Global Third Prize (2023). I was also a guest speaker at the 2025 China Internet Civilization Conference.

Driven by my vision to bridge Europe and China, I combine academic excellence with entrepreneurial spirit to create meaningful connections through language education and cross-border commerce.
