As one of the Brand Ambassadors of the Balkan eCommerce Summit, Ciprian Cazacu brings a rare combination of entrepreneurial drive and hands-on experience from building one of the region’s fastest-growing eCommerce automation platforms: easySales. Since launching the company in 2019 together with his brother, Ciprian has helped more than 1,000 retailers simplify marketplace operations, expand internationally, and scale through automation – without adding headcount or overhauling workflows.
In this interview, he shares the exact first step merchants should take when entering a new marketplace in 30 days, the three KPIs that separate real growth from vanity metrics, and why “simplicity over complexity” remains the guiding principle behind easySales. If you’re planning to expand across Central and Eastern Europe in 2026, his perspective will save you time, effort, and costly trial-and-error – starting now.
As a Brand Ambassador for the Balkan eCommerce Summit, how do you see your role in the community, and what value do you hope to bring in 2026?
I see my role as a connector. My goal is to bring merchants, partners and markets closer together and make cross-border expansion feel a lot less intimidating. In 2026 I want to share practical insights, real examples and shortcuts that save people months of trial and error. If I can help more merchants understand that regional growth is actually accessible, not just for big players, then I’ve added real value.
What’s new at easySales right now that will help retailers expand across marketplaces in Central & Eastern Europe?
We’re focusing heavily on automations that cut down the time needed to list, sync and manage products across multiple countries. We’ve also prepared new marketplace integrations in Central Europe and improvements for managing stock across several warehouses. The idea is simple: if you want to enter two or three new markets tomorrow, you should be able to do it without redesigning your entire operation.
A merchant wants to enter a new marketplace in 30 days. What’s the one action you recommend first, and what mistake should they avoid?
The first action is to clean and structure the product catalog. When your attributes, titles and stock information are complete and consistent, your time-to-first-sale drops dramatically. The biggest mistake is to start with marketing or commission negotiations before the catalog is ready. You rush to sell before you’re actually ready to sell.
Which three KPIs show that marketplace expansion and automation are working, and how should teams track them?
For me the top three are: average order processing time, listing error rate and stock update speed. If these three numbers go down, everything else becomes easier. Teams should track them weekly, not yearly, so they can fix issues before they turn into bottlenecks.
Can you share a success story of a retailer who scaled to multiple marketplaces with easySales? What were the key steps and outcomes?
One great example is a retailer who started with two local marketplaces and expanded into three international ones within a few months. Their steps were very clear: they cleaned their catalog, centralized stock through easySales and automated AWBs and invoicing. The outcome was more than double the order volume, without hiring more people and without changing workflows. Consistency and automation did the heavy lifting.
Building easySales with your brother, what leadership habit or lesson has shaped how you build simpler, faster and more profitable tools for merchants?
The most important lesson is not to complicate things just because you can. We learned early that a good product isn’t the one with the most features, but the one that removes the most friction for the user. We constantly ask ourselves: can this be simpler, can this be faster? If the answer is yes, that becomes the priority.
